Visit
Estonia Estonia lies along the Baltic Sea, just below Finland. Tallinn, Estonia’s capital city is only about 40 miles south of Helsinki, across the Gulf of Finland. Sweden is Estonia's western neighbour across the Baltic. Russia is to the east, with St. Petersburg just across the north-eastern border. To the south is Latvia with its capital city Riga. You can depart from Tallinn's international airport and in less than two hours be in Helsinki, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Riga, Moscow, St. Petersburg, or Vilnius. |
Lonely
Planet - Estonia
Ever wanted to eat blood sausages washed down with a syrupy liquor of unknown
origin, check out abandoned Soviet military installations, or go bog walking
then get flogged with birch branches in a scorching hot sauna? You can do
it all in Estonia, the small territory which packs in some charming quirks
without ruining your budget.

Packing - Estonia
For most people, Tallinn, the capital city is the only part of Estonia that
they will visit, probably as a long weekend alternative to a more established
destination like Prague or Amsterdam. They will not be disappointed either.
Tallinn is home to one of the best-preserved old towns in Europe, where
twisty cobblestone alleyways that give the area a mysterious otherworldly
feel connect fanciful buildings from the 14th and 15th centuries.
Holiday
Lettings - Estonia
Bordered by the Baltic Sea, Russia and Latvia, Estonia is scenic and sparsely
populated. Having gained independence from the Soviet Union as recently
as 1991, Estonia has seen something of a renaissance in the last decade
or so. A spirit of rebirth is in the air in the capital city of Tallinn,
the lively university town of Tartu, the large town of Narva and the holiday
resort of Parnu.
