Tourism
Brazil is the largest country in Latin America. It spreads across almost
half (47.3%) of South America, and occupies a total area of 8,547,403.5
km2. It is the fifth largest country in the world after Canada, the Russian
Federation, China and the United States. Except for a small number of islands,
Brazil is a single and continuous landmass. The Equator crosses through
the Northern region, near Macapa, and the Tropic of Capricorn cuts through
the South of the country, near São Paulo.
Get
Packing - Brazil
Taking up half of the continent of South America, and being about the same
size as the United States of America, Brazil is one of the largest countries
in the world. Since the conquistadors brought back stories of the fabled
lost cities, and mysterious jungle, Brazil has drawn travellers from around
the world, eager to explore the country and see the majesty that it has
to offer. From the eye-dropping expanse of the jungle; with the calls of
monkeys in the trees and the menace of solitary jaguar hunting the wild
pigs and deer; to the murky waters of the lower Amazon, where dolphins swim,
and mysterious ripples in the water may be sign of the feared anaconda;
to the enigmatic Indian tribes hiding away from civilisation; to the rush
of life in Rio De Janeiro and Sao Paolo. The list of things to see and do
in Brazil is as endless as the mighty Amazon River that runs through it.
